waiting for the story

Eager to hear the story of the teacher, these Kampala lads are lass patiently waited for video set up of the Jesus story at a local primary school, in the out skirts , soon they will be sitting for their final exams and will also have their Leaver's party.
How many of them will have a chance to proceed to the next level next year,
How many of them will be mothers before their time clocks,
How many of them will be able compete in our eliminative world.
How many of them will have a chance to peck this key board for a living!Justify Full
They waited for the story, the story of the teacher, the story of Jesus

Gogolo Stars

7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it,

the world, and all who live in it.

8 Let the rivers clap their hands,
Let the mountains sing together for joy;
9 let them sing before the LORD,

Psalm 98

The day has been an awesome warm day, I took time off for a little rest at the Botanical gardens - Entebbe. As I walked by I noticed these little kids doing their thing, sliding on the green lawns the way rafters would in water.
I became their friend there and then, they wanted me to slide with them, of course I would rather watch and take their pictures.
Cuties such as these would have been at school at this point in time, they told me even tomorrow they will come for they have to pick some fruits.
well looking forward to another beautiful and quick healing in my body!

Living Streams flow

Forest walk by guys from Living Streams Flow; a Young Adults' Ministry of
Kampala Church of Christ.
It was a fabulous walk in Mabira Forest, about 60km east of Kampala city,
camping, retreats, and day-outs are some of the things young people enjoy doing.

Beyond this point you could end up either in Egypt or somewhere on the floor of the world's longest river.
This point is said to be the source the River Nile, or the point at which River Nile leaves Lake Victoria, there are no more rapids, but still a beautiful scenery. These pictures were taken July 12, 2010 a day after Spain had lifted the world cup, and over 80 Ugandan soccer fans losing their lives to suicide bombers in Kampala. May the good Lord bless, comfort and strengthen the bereaved families.

... and so go forth!

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Psalm 1:1-6 NIV

catch up

Back after a brief tour of western Kenya, torn between the realities of bustling, Kampala city and a rural Africa. It all keeps me inking and thinking.

Am wondering when might the English queen pass by, as you stand by Kampala street touchlines, a couple of things are sinking though some bit of glamour is rising up. If the most powerful woman on earth passes by her former protectorate Kampala might have another breath of splendor.

It takes me a while before I get a real meal of Matooke, everywhere I went to in western Kenya I was being reminded of the Matooke factor, I had a chance to have it another form the “Liquid Matooke

Many of the areas I visited the kids there seemed healthy but curious and afraid of strangers. It looks like they held back by a sudden wind of remoteness or just recovering from the post 2007 election violence, despair looms in the older youths.

Kisumu – Kampala

One thing I would love to do most is to have a ride with the American leader in a Kisumu bound taxi, I wonder why the son of the Land chose to lead another nation as if we don’t have our own problems, well I mean no Idol worship I had a ride with the world’s most powerful man at the back of my seat, but only in a poster form.

The “matatu” would not only stop for a while at police check point only to be waved off like a Ferrari racing car.

The Kenyans had multiple questions for the touring Ugandan, like why we don’t use Swahili in my country, I don’t even know but perhaps we have our languages, some Swahili is one of them.

Why claim their Migingo (a tiny island on Lake Victoria) I don’t even know what this means, it is not even visible on the world map. I need a mind magnifier just like the rest of the world.

Catch me if you can.

I will never cry again!

The world seems to be rapidly revolving more than ever, before you know its dusk.
As I try to make sense out of the US presidential folks, the Wall Street is busy tumbling, calling for our attention as though we were the architects.
In Kampala its getting even worse with building site collapsing onto its own workers and the road carnage claiming over hundred people at different incidents in just a fortnight.

Missing Chapters
Life has been so rapid for me that I don't seem to know where I dropped the thread from. with ministry am investing more of my energies with the children teaching at the men's Bible Study Fellowship and facilitating the children’s' church in my local congregation.

Studio
Lately I have caught myself doing more miniature paintings it seems am loosing the passion for the bigger things anyway I enjoying it.

Prayer Request
That I get directions for living and also be able to obey!

Finale
Yesterday as was I hustling through the crowded Kampala city taking twists and turns, hope stepping the muddy potholes at the same time having to watch over my pockets and the "boda boda" motor cyclists, a man idly observing my despairing face said "a wheel-barrow pusher never waves"…

I will never cry again.

Peter Rocks!

Peter would always be one of the first four boys to welcome you, the moment you enter this Baby's home in a Kampala outskirt.
its not the case anymore, Peter now limps his way after a malaria injection that paralysed one of his legs, despite the beeming smile, you can still read the frustration and agony the 5 or 6 year old lad is going through.
Remeber to pray for Peter that God may provide a brighter future and better medical care and good health!
God bless

Peter rocks!
